Behavior & Fun Facts
General Behavior
Wolven Cats' personalities are as varied as humans and depend mostly on their environment and upbringing. However, WCs tend to be more feral and wild. While they can participate in "civilized" societies and are highly intelligent (more so than humans, they think), they much prefer roaming the wilds and enjoying the simple life of catching their own meals.
Language / Communication
Wolven Cat vocal cords are capable of making a seemingly endless array of noises. As such, they can learn to speak just about any language, from human languages to those of animals. They can also use telepathy, not only with their own kind, but with other species as well. They often find it fun to invade the minds of humans and play tricks on them. Through this telepathy, they can also feel what another creature is feeling, thus they are usually very empathetic and caring. When hunting, prey is always dispatched quickly and painlessly.
Usually a roar from a WC is enough to scare away even the largest of predators.
Diet
Extreme omnivores. Not only can they eat both meat and veggies, but their digestive system is strong enough to be able to process just about anything, including rocks! Usually tho, meat is the preferred sustenance. Even sometimes human meat!
Aggression
For the most part, WCs have a calm disposition. They're not too quick to anger. They can get into trouble tho because they tend to be very prideful and sometimes so far as narcissistic. They think they're better than any other creature. They also care a lot about their friends and family, and have a strong sense of justice. If these things are ever threatened, a Wolven Cat will not hesitate to attack with tooth and claw. Balance in the world is also important to them, so when something goes out of balance, they try to fix it. A lot of Wolven Cats think humans on Earth are out of balance because no other species on the planet comes even close to matching them. Some take this as reason to attack random humans on Earth.
Social
Wolven Cats can be very social creatures, forming a pack with others of their kind or even with other species such as wolves or humans. Usually a pack consists of 2-4 individuals. Within a pack of WCs, unlike wolves or humans, there is no one leader. Because they are telepathic, they can all share feelings and thoughts and move and act as a single unit.
Some WCs also prefer to be alone and will set off on their own. Others may prefer to live alone, but hang out with others on occasion or group up to hunt.
Mating
As stated in the anatomy page, Wolven Cats do not do the do. They do not have the parts to, nor do most have any interest in it. To them, it's one of those "weird human things" they don't really understand.
WCs do reproduce tho, and that's explained on the anatomy page too.
As for the social and romantic aspect of mating, a Wolven Cats' mate is, for the most part, his pack. The pack as a whole will cuddle, share food, exchange gifts, bathe, hunt, sleep, and generally take on life together.
Other fun facts:
-Because they do not need to breathe and they have webbed hindpaws, they enjoy swimming and will often spend hours or even sleep underwater.
-They are naturally nocturnal, but may become diurnal if needed
